At sixteen, what begins as their usual summer of mischief transforms when Cadence and Gat fall in love, while adult tensions rise in her family. She doesn't know this fairy tale will end with her alone on the beach, injured and with no memory of how she got there.

In present day, Cadence discovers a shocking truth about one Liar, leading to a confrontation as explosive as the fireworks.

Unsettled by a series of painful memories, Cadence tries to enjoy what's left of her summer – even if it means distracting herself with a potentially dangerous stunt.
